Our Mission

To enhance people’s livelihoods, advance education, and alleviate poverty through collaborations that promote communities’ development.

A world with more justice and less poverty

OUR PROGRAMS

Alleviating Poverty

Eradication of poverty is more than just an act of charity, but a matter of justice. Our objective is to encourage the active participation and engagement of both individuals and communities, empowering them to utilize their own resources and abilities needed to overcome the inequalities that affect their lives.

Educating for Change

Improving access to educational opportunities it’s our main objective. We strongly believe that education plays a crucial role in enabling young people to build brighter futures as they acquire the necessary skills and practical knowledge to create lasting change in their lives.

Improving Livelihoods

Systemic inequalities are the root causes of marginalization and poverty. Our goal is to facilitate long-lasting and positive change by encouraging more sustainable communities. We actively support and strengthen local economic opportunities that assist people with income generation.

What We Do

Southlink provides support to individuals who are experiencing poverty by facilitating access to essential life necessities such as water, food, and shelter. In collaboration with a reputable organizations, we support access to nourishing food and meals in Canada and abroad.

Southlink is dedicated to supporting underprivileged children and youth in their pursuit of education, aiming to break the cycle of poverty through the provision of scholarships. Each year, we pledge to grant two scholarships to deserving low-income students in Canada.

Southlink works in partnership with impoverished communities to support small enterprises that enable individuals to generate income and improve their economic situation. Recently, we assisted a food cooperative project lead by residents in an informal settlement in Santiago, Chile.

Our Work Principles

Development is not a task that can be managed like a project or resolved by relying on the expertise or authority of outsiders; rather, it is a journey in which community members collaborate, make collective economic and political decisions, and strive for self determination.

We believe that when communities come together, it builds trust, understanding, and a mutual sense of cooperation necessary for a more equitable, just, and sustainable future.

Our Commitment

By choosing to support SouthLink Canada, you forge a partnership that brings positive change in the lives of individuals facing poverty, both within Canada and across the globe. Your support not only uplifts these individuals but also strengthens the communities they belong to, creating a ripple effect for positive transformation.
